Event organizers are encouraged to submit as much information as possible and make available entry forms or contact email addresses for general inquiries. You can subscribe using your own calendar application or link it to Google Calendar for easy access via mobile devices.
Most 2019 events are now confirmed – however continue to check back. The calendar will be kept up to date as the season progresses when entry forms and additional information gets added.

Events for T&P1 and Multi-Target on the Saturday and a practical match on the Sunday

Gallery Rifle Slikks Course
This one day Gallery Rifle Introduction Course will provide the fundamental skills for taking part in GR events and competitions, and will include individual coaching of positional shooting techniques.

The 2019 Spring Action Weekend
The first of three newly revamped Gallery Rifle Action weekends held at Bisley throughout 2019 to encourage Gallery Rifle action shooting to include Centrefire and Smallbore, Long Barrelled Pistol and Revolver. Events

There are also a few Fullbore rifle competitions held at 200 yards if you crave the longer distances! The mini-Mcqueen match will also run on Melville over the middle of the day on Saturday.

Budleigh Farm Steel Challenge
Falling plate target shooting competitions held at the Budleigh Farm Shooting ground in the glorious rolling hills of the Dartmoor National park in Devon.
Designed to be both fun and challenging it is suitable for novice and experienced GRSB/LSR .22 shooters alike and will test both speed and precision shooting at a variety of steel shapes at different ranges.
Whatever your ability the instant gratification on hearing the “plink” and watching the target fall just can’t be beat!

The Army Target Shooting Club Open Meeting
The Army Target Shooting (ATSC) Club’s annual Club Championships and Open Meeting is at a mid April timeslot for 2019.
The meeting contains a mixture of ISSF, Black Powder pistol and Gallery Rifle events.

The 2019 Basildon Open
Another three days for again 2019 – however a week later over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend. Basildon put on an excellent shoot with plenty of space to camp overnight and a pretty decent BBQ for those who wish to partake – just bring a few drinks! Shops and supermarkets just down the road if you prefer and to keep ahead of the Derby mob – well tough. I think John has eventually given up on the shower!

The FDPC Western Winner
FDPC’s Western Winner was reintroduced in 2017 and is now being run at their new range complex in Shepton Mallet. Events in 1500, 1020, Multi-Target and T&P1 will be on offer again for 2019.

Please be invited to the Wapinschaw competition which is following the same format as previous yearsand contains competitions for 5 of the GR classes as well as muzzle-loading rifles, pistols and revolvers.
New this year by popular request is an Aggregate Trophy for GRCF Classic rifles incorporating scores from TP1, MT & Precision.
As before we are delighted that BBQ, cakes and refreshments are available free of charge (although donations appreciated).

The 2019 Southern Counties Gallery Rifle Shorts Competition
The 2019 early Summer slot for this meeting at the Shepton Mallet Target Shooting Centre.
Only a week after the Phoenix but worth a look if you fancy a trip to the South West to shoot in FDPC’s new range complex. Its an open shoot and has events for Gallery Rifle Centrefire (GRCF), Gallery Rifle Smallbore (GRSB) LBR and LBP.
The appropriate events will be fully classified.

The Cottesloe Practical Shotgun Challenge
The Cottesloe Heath Challenge (Bisley) will also be a round of the 2019 NRA Shotgun League. This match can be shot on either Saturday or Sunday with some places on the Friday.

the weekend of July 5-7
Bracken is located just outside Strabane, Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland.

For Visitors from Britain, this means they do not need visitor permits to bring their firearms to Northern Ireland – and all competitions on offer are available to them.
Everyone else will require a PSNI Visitor Permit to bring their firearms into Northern Ireland – contact NASRPC who will co-ordinate this process.

Scottish open Gallery Rifle Championships
Shorts Events
The 2018 Scottish Gallery Rifle and Pistol Championship will be held over two venue dates. Commencing on the 12 to 14th July at the JSPC Colmsliehill range (this event) where a series of short events will be held and concluding with 1500 events at a venue to be decided. The Championship for Rifle will be held concurrently with a shorter Championship for Long Barrelled Revolver and Pistol. This will be a registered event and entrance open to all.
Scottish Gallery Rifle and Pistol Championship Stage 1 (this event), Short Events, to be held at JSPC Colmsliehill range on the 13-15 July.

NRA Imperial Historic Arms Meeting.
Original or spirit of the original welcome at this meeting.
A plethora of events for Rifle, Pistol and Gallery Rifle. Don’t think this meeting is just for the historians and 19th Century aficionados. Plenty of events which can be entered with your modern day Marlins, Winchesters, Lee Enfields and Mausers.
The Gallery Rifle and Pistol meeting at the Imperial.
The meeting contains a mixture of squadded trophy matches and unlimited entry events. The meeting will run from Wednesday to Sunday.
Unlimited entry events will run throughout the meeting with Trophy matches running on Saturday and Sunday morning.

The Welsh Open 1500 and Shorts Championships
To be held at Haverfordwest Target Shooting Club – Pembrokeshire’s finest shooting ground.
Free camping available – make a weekend of it.

Please note that the 2019 Welsh open will start on the Friday morning (26 July 2019) allowing for two and a half days shoot. We have also added a classic rifle section to the shorts and 1500 as well as LBP and LBR in all competitions. Entry fee for shorts will be £6.00 and for 1500, £10.00. Entry forms should be available January 2019. Closing date for entries is Friday 19 July although entries can be made on the day subject to availability of space and a surcharge on the entry fee.
The 2019 Gallery Rifle National OPEN Championships
A new date for the GR National Open Championships for 2019. To avoid clashing with the August Bank Holiday weekend this has been moved to the following weekend.
A weekend to compete and be crowned a National Champion. This event is predominantly for Gallery Rifles, (Centrefire and Smallbore) and Long Barrelled Revolvers and Pistols. Competitions available for:
- 25m and 50m precision
- Multi-Target
- Advancing Target
- The 1500
- Bianchi
- Timed and Precision matches
- Speed Steel Challenge.
Also some short-range competitions for older military firearms and the McQueen shoot for any rifle.

The SLG Bisley 1500 and Shorts
A return to Melville in September for some 1500 and shorts matches organized by SLG Bisley.
Just a one day event but cheap accommodation should be easily available on the camp at that time of year. After the event all competitors are invited over to the SPOTT for a BBQ and a few drinks.

The 2019 Trafalgar Meeting
Shooters with a historical inclination will turn towards the Trafalgar Meeting as memories of the Imperial fade. “Spirit of the Original” is the ethos of the meeting so don’t be fooled into thinking expensive original firearms are all that can be used here.
Don’t forget to apply for the well supported Trafalgar Dinner held on the Saturday night. And in addition to all the shooting the shooting there is an Arms and Militeria Fair held in Bisley Pavilion.

The 2019 Autumn Action Weekend
This is the last of the years main Gallery Rifle Action Weekends that encourages Gallery Rifle shooting for the Gallery Rifle community who visit Bisley.
This meeting includes competitions for Gallery Rifles both Smallbore and Centrefire and Long Barrelled Revolvers and Pistols. There are also competitions for those of you who have an interest in Target Shotgun. For shooters who crave longer distances there are Fullbore competitions held simultaneously at 200 yards.
