Man v Man

Steels - man v manOK guys – Me again – Slky Smooth of the Steels fame.

Firstly I need some sort of response re: Man v Man at lunch time as I need to gain permission and have time to make some additional steels. I have no official position within the NRA other than being a member so please contact to me with either a yes or no ASAFP.

Man V Man, as the name suggests is shot against another person, a “J” ladder is used to match competitors, winners of each stage compete against other winners, losers compete against other losers. A little movement and a tin can are involved.

On the beep step forward, place can on post and engage your steels, in the prescribed order, then compulsory reload and engage stop plate. Best of three runs. £ 5.00 per head. LBPs and rifles will compete in same comp against each other. 22 only. In my experience this is the biggest adrenalin rush in shooting, bar none.

With reguard to steels in october. Given that I do not have to consider persons on either flank I intend to set up 4 possibly 3 stages, to allow one really wide stage and 2 or 3 narrower stages.

One or two of the narrower stages will have to be shot twice, in different orders, to maintain the round count but, I think, given that the opportunity has arisen it is worth doing.
