Budleigh Farm Speed Steel Challenge
Falling plate target shooting competitions held at the Budleigh Farm Shooting ground in the glorious rolling hills of the Dartmoor National park in Devon. The last two years have been a bit sparse for shooting competitions but just to cheer you all up I can confirm that the Steel Challenge 2022 will proceed on the 15th & 16rd of April this year. The competition will run even if there are any new Covid restrictions as the correct distancing and outdoor sports restrictions can be implemented and complied with if necessary.
Designed to be both fun and challenging it is suitable for novice and experienced GRSB/LSR .22 shooters alike and will test both speed and precision shooting at a variety of steel shapes at different ranges.
Whatever your ability the instant gratification on hearing the “plink” and watching the target fall just can’t be beat!
Remember to pass on this information to other members of your club who may wish to join us, there is a discount for first time entries, and there are prizes for the first three in each class courtesy of our sponsor, The Country Sports Shop, in Bovey Tracey.

Another three days for again 2023 – however a week later than the Early May Bank Holiday weekend. Basildon put on an excellent shoot with plenty of space to camp overnight and a pretty decent BBQ for those who wish to partake – just bring a few drinks! Shops and supermarkets just down the road if you prefer and to keep ahead of the Derby mob – well tough. I think John has definitely given up on the shower!
