Event organizers are encouraged to submit as much information as possible and make available entry forms or contact email addresses for general inquiries. You can subscribe using your own calendar application or link it to Google Calendar for easy access via mobile devices.
The 2026 dates are now as shown. The calendar will be kept up to date as the season progresses when entry forms and additional information gets added – or updated.
The BDMP Gallery Rifle Championships
(and 2026 IGRF/German Open)
Held at the Leitmar Range Complex in Germany.
Also including Shorts and 1500 matches.
British Young Shooters (BYSA)
November Bonfire Bonanza event
One of two weekend events aimed to offer BYSA members the opportunity to shoot on the NRA’s ranges in Bisley and to introduce a number of shooting disciplines.
A weekend full of shooting, coaching, learning new skills, food and fun! Participants will usually have the opportunity to shoot one of the NRAs Fullbore shooting disciplines, including: Target Rifle, Civilian Service Rifle, Historic Rifle, Gallery Rifle & Pistol and Match Rifle.

The 2027 Spring Action Weekend
The first of three newly revamped Gallery Rifle Action weekends held at Bisley throughout 2025 to encourage Gallery Rifle action shooting to include Centrefire and Smallbore, Long Barrelled Pistol and Revolver. Events

There are also a few Fullbore rifle competitions held at 200 yards if you crave the longer distances! The mini-Mcqueen match will also run on Melville over the middle of the day on Saturday.

The Army Target Shooting Club Open Meeting
The Army Target Shooting (ATSC) Club’s annual Club Championships and Open Meeting is at a mid April timeslot for 2027.
The meeting contains a mixture Gallery Rifle and black Powder Muzzle Loading events.

- There is no RO day. All competitors, incl. staff, need to book and shoot sometime over the days Friday to Sunday inclusive.
- Competitors will be expected to score each other.
- Squadding details will be issued to entrants prior to the competition.
- Parking space is limited. To try and reduce any difficulties, please car share where possible.
- Catering facilities will be available.

The 2027 Basildon Open
Another three days for again 2027 – over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend. Basildon put on an excellent shoot with plenty of space to camp overnight and a pretty decent BBQ for those who wish to partake – just bring a few drinks! Shops and supermarkets just down the road if you prefer and to keep ahead of the Derby mob – well tough. I think John has most definitely given up on the shower – bring your own!

A fully classified Rimfire Festival held at FDPC’s Shepton Mallet range complex. Five matches – T&P1, Multi-Target, The Granet Match, The America Match and a 1020. Note – the appropriate matches above will be classified.

Something for everybody at the Phoenix. The 2027 Phoenix meeting is its 30th anniversary
The meeting will be held across its traditional long weekend slot, 27th – 30th May.

The Irish Open also includes the Irish leg of the IGRF International Series and a new International Pistol Team event.

The Gallery Rifle and Pistol meeting at the Imperial.
The meeting contains a mixture of squadded trophy matches and unlimited entry events. The meeting will run from Thursday to Sunday.
Unlimited entry events will run throughout the meeting with Trophy matches running concurrently.

Scottish Gallery Rifle Championships
The 2027 Scottish Gallery Rifle and Pistol Championship will be held 30 July-1st August at JSPC Ranges near Galashiels where a series of short events will be held. The Championship for Rifle will be held concurrently with a Championship for Long Barrelled Revolver and Pistol.
This competition is open to all and is a NRA-registered event. Scores will be submitted to the NRA for inclusion in the Gallery Rifle Ranking Tables and Gallery Rifle Classification. RO day will take place on the Friday 30th July

The Welsh Open 1500 and Shorts Championships
To be held at Haverfordwest Target Shooting Club – Pembrokeshire’s finest shooting ground.
30th July – 1st August 2027
This year we’ll hopefully host a home countries match (HCM) running shoulder to shoulder on the Sunday.

The Gallery Rifle and Pistol Northern Ireland Championships
The festival will host registered matches for NRA gallery rifle championships and an NI region WA1500 registered handgun match.
Gallery competition courses of fire to include 1500, 1020, T&P 1 and Multi-Target in the following categories GRSB, GRCF standard classic and open, LBR and LBP. Imperial silhouettes and a steel challenge match are also on offer.
T&P1 and Multi-Target will also be shot in pistol and revolver categories, smallbore and centrefire, as per NRA rules. Club guns are available; please request them in advance.

The Derby Handgun Challenge – 2027
Online Entry Forms
The Derby Handgun Challenge 2027 will follow rules set out in the GR handbook and national classifications will be used.
Camping is available from Friday, and the club armoury may be available for secure overnight storage of firearms subject to prior arrangements with the Match Director. Hot drinks will be provided all weekend, and sandwiches Sat & Sun on DRPC. Donations to the AIR AMBULANCE will be accepted.
All the normal handgun events will be available – a busy weekend ahead.

The SLG Bisley 1500 and Shorts
A return to Melville in early September for some 1500 and shorts matches organized by SLG Bisley.
Just a one day event but cheap accommodation should be easily available on the camp at that time of year.

The 2027 Gallery Rifle National OPEN Championships
Slightly later in the month than the traditional slot – a weekend to compete and be crowned a National Champion. This event is predominantly for Gallery Rifles, (Centrefire and Smallbore) and Long Barrelled Revolvers and Pistols. Competitions available for:
- 25m and 50m precision
- Multi-Target
- Advancing Target
- The 1500
- Bianchi
- Timed and Precision matches
- Speed Steel Challenge.
Also some short-range competitions for older military firearms and the McQueen shoot for any rifle.

The 2026 Cornish Open
- IGRF Aggregate:- 50mPrecision/ TP1/ Multi/ 1500; Individual FREE entry
GRCF and GRSB trophies available - Pasty Challenge:- Three person Team log chop 25m, 1 centre fire & 1 Rimfire must be used.
Shot daily during the lunch hour; £3 per Team/ pay on day.
